Shuttle: How to get to the conference venue from the airport

Most delegates will arrive in Majorca on 23 October. The Organising Team have carefully studied the arrival times of those of you who have kindly provided this information. In light of this, we will be offering a shuttle service from the airport to the conference venue on 23 October. Our mini-bus will leave the airport at the following times: 11.30, 14.00, 17.00 and 19.30. Should you wish to benefit from this complimentary service, please proceed to the airport’s meeting point in the arrivals hall some time before your shuttle service departure time. The meeting point is right in the middle of the arrivals hall, once you leave the (passengers-only) baggage claim area. There will be someone there to meet you holding the SELICUP logo 10 minutes before any of the shuttle service departure times. Please note that the Organising Team cannot be held responsible for flight delays. Our shuttle services will depart at the scheduled times. Should you miss the shuttle service of your choice, you can either wait and catch one later or else travel to the conference venue by coach/bus, taxi or car.

In the event of an emergency, please call Ms Esperanza Escandell (+34 654 345981).

Please visit for further information.

How to get to Palma and / or the airport from the conference venue

For those of you checking out on 27 October, SELICUP will offer a shuttle service between the conference venue and the airport. Departure times will be announced during the conference.

For those of you leaving for Palma on 26 October, please see ‘Trip to Es Colomer’ below.

As clearly stated in the programme, Registration will open at 9am on 24 October. The Registration desk (located in the hotel lobby) will remain open throughout the conference.

Registration will also be available from 6pm to 8pm on 23 October. Delegates arriving at the conference venue on 23 October are kindly requested to register that day if possible.

Meals at the Portblue Club Pollentia Resort

Most delegates staying at the hotel have been offered accommodation on an all-inclusive basis. If this is your case, your hotel rate includes lunch and dinner during the conference.

For those delegates who have requested a different hotel board type or who are staying elsewhere, lunch and dinner vouchers are available from the hotel reception. Please note that the price of the vouchers does not cover drinks, which need to be paid for separately.

Conference room equipment

A laptop (PC) will be available at each of the conference rooms (Sala Pollentia and Sala Atenea), which will also have projection and audio equipment. Internet access will also be available. Please note that only the laptops provided by the Organising Committee can be used for presentations. Delegates (especially Mac users) are therefore kindly requested to take this into account and make sure the files they need to use are PC-friendly.

Trip to the Es Colomer Viewpoint (Cape Formentor) and guided tour of Alcudia. Evening coach service to Palma

The conference social programme includes a short trip to the Es Colomer Viewpoint, offering beautiful views over the Mediterranean and the Tramuntana Mountains. This will be followed by a guided tour of the town of Alcudia.

As can be seen in the programme, this short trip will be offered on the afternoon of Friday 26 October. Delegates will be asked whether they will be joining this free activity. The trip is also open to non-registered companions, who will be asked to pay a €20 fee.

Once the trip is over, the coach will first return to the conference venue at 20.00. After this, the coach will be at the disposal of those delegates checking out on 26 October and wishing to travel to Palma. The scheduled route will first call at Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma and ultimately Palma’s seafront (Auditorium area).

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Majorca.

All best wishes,

The SELICUP 2018 team
